In April 2025, an executive order directed the establishment of the Presidential AI Challenge to expand artificial intelligence education for America’s youth. DoWEA is proud to recognize 2026 Presidential AI Challenge State Champion teams in nine DoWEA schools.

Students are encouraged to submit entries for America’s Field Trip, a nationwide contest that invites people in grades 3–12 to share what America means to them.
Future Leaders Represent DoWEA in the United States Senate Youth Program
Humphreys High School senior Ava Ellis and Wiesbaden High School junior Michael Carbone represented the Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) as delegates to the United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) in Washington, D.C.
